Intelligent vital sign alerts based on context awareness

Abstract

Within the framework of this research, a system that integrates IoT (Internet of Things) technology and a contextual awareness model has been developed. The purpose of the system is to collect vital signs thanks to healthypi and generate intelligent alerts avoiding false positives to medical staff, additional manage and process critical information in the clinical environment, covering aspects such as patient data, treatments, medications, vital signs, as well as information related to doctors, nurses, locations and sensors used for monitoring vital signs, among others.
