Abstract

In today's modern world, the use of data within companies is becoming
increasingly vital. However, much of this data remains untapped, leading to
a loss in potential value. This paper investigates the transformative impact of
Business Intelligence (BI) within the Logistics 4.0 context on strategic decisionmaking
and competitive advantage. By applying a Delphi method with experts
from a prominent Portuguese logistics company, we assessed BI’s integration
into corporate strategy and operational practices. Findings emphasize the critical
role of aligning BI tools with organizational goals, supported by top management,
and the necessity of continuous training to maximize the value of BI
adoption.
